Pavlodar City Court concluded hearings on the claim for the protection of honour, dignity, business reputation and moral damage to the director of the Pavlodar regional branch of "Kazakhstan" Radio and Television Corporation, Bauyrzhan (official name Vladimir) Aitkazin, against Aigerim Muzdybaeva, editor-in-chief of the Kazakhstan-Pavlodar TV channel. The reason for the claim was that in late October on the personal Facebook page of the chairman of the board of "Kazakhstan" RTC, Kemelbek Oishybayev, TV presenter Aigerim Muzdybaeva accused her manager, Bauyrzhan (Vladimir) Aitkazin of sexual harassment and blackmail. On 24th February 24, the court granted the claim in part: the statements about harassment posted by Aigerim Muzdybayeva on social media were declared invalid and defamatory. The court ordered the defendant to pay 100 thousand tenge to compensate for the moral harm against Aitkazin. The plaintiff was denied the rest of the claims.
