Today police in Zhanaozen stopped a car carrying Saniya Toiken, a reporter for Azattyk in the Mangistau region who was covering mourning events in memory of those who died in the events of 2011 in Zhanaozen. "The police got behind the wheel of the car, where my documents and professional equipment were, and left. I asked for permission to pick up my belongings, but they didn't respond to the request," Saniya Toiken said, noting that the incident happened when she got out of the car.
