The Buda-Koshelevo District Court of Gomel Region has recognised the Mediazona. Belarus page on the social network Threads (identifier: threads.com/@mediazona.by) as extremist informational material. Earlier, on 26 February 2025, the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs declared the Mediazona. Belarus project an “extremist formation.” On the basis of the court’s decision, the Belarusian Ministry of Information added this online resource to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials deemed extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
