The Pruzhany District Court of the Brest Region has recognised the social media accounts of Russian blogger Maxim Katz on Instagram, X, and Facebook, as well as his Telegram and YouTube channels, as extremist informational material. On the basis of the court’s ruling, the Belarusian Ministry of Information has added these online resources to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials recognised as extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
