The Dubroŭna District Court of the Vitebsk Region has recognised as extremist information materials a group on the social network VKontakte (vk.com/volatvydannie), affiliated with the local history publication Volat. On the basis of the court’s decision, the Belarusian Ministry of Information has added the internet resource to the “Republican List of Extremist Materials”. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials recognised as extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
