The Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs has added journalist Volha Radzivonava, who was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment, to the “List of Citizens Involved in Extremist Activity”. Earlier, a court found Radzivonava guilty under articles relating to insulting Alexander Lukashenko and defaming him (Articles 368 and 367 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus), discrediting Belarus (Article 369-1 of the Criminal Code), and inciting hatred (Article 130 of the Criminal Code). The grounds for the criminal prosecution were articles published in the German newspaper Die Tageszeitung.
