The Molodechno District Court of the Minsk Region has recognised an Instagram page with the username “amialeshka” (identifier: instagram.com/amialeshka) as extremist informational material. The page is the personal account of Grodno-based journalist Andrei Myaleshka, who is currently living in forced exile. On the basis of the court’s decision, the Ministry of Information of Belarus has added the online resource to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and possession of materials deemed extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
