In the morning, security officers carried out a search of the flat of Anatol Sanatsenka, the former editor-in-chief of the independent regional newspaper Bobruisky Kuryer. During the search, a computer and other digital storage devices were confiscated. The journalist was then taken for interrogation to the Babruysk District Police Department, where an administrative offence report was drawn up against Sanatsenka under Part 2 of Article 19.11 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus (distribution of information materials included in the “Republican List of Extremist Materials”). He was subsequently placed in a temporary detention facility pending trial.
