The magistrates’ court of judicial district No. 374 in Moscow’s Tagansky District has fined Vladislav Trifonov, editor-in-chief of RTVI, 4,000 roubles (€40) under Part 2 of Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offences, which concerns the abuse of freedom of the mass media. The case arose from a publication dated 18 July about updates to the register of so-called “foreign agents”. The article stated that Activatica, which had been added to the list, “promoted LGBT relationships”, but did not note that the “LGBT movement” is designated as “extremist” in Russia.
