Additional information:
The Leninsky District Court in Kursk has ordered the arrest in absentia of YouTuber Mark Feygin in a case concerning the illegal crossing of the state border by an organised group (Part 3 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code). The motion to arrest Feygin, a former lawyer, was filed by the FSB Border Guard Service. The criminal prosecution stems from Feygin's visit to the town of Sudzha in November 2024, when it was under the control of the Ukrainian military. This is the second time Feigin has been arrested in absentia. In January 2024, a Moscow court imposed a similar preventive measure on him in a case involving the dissemination of so-called military “fakes” (Clause “d” of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). He was subsequently sentenced to 11 years’ imprisonment in that case.
