Rosfinmonitoring has added journalist Evgenia Baltatarova to its register of “terrorists and extremists.” Two criminal cases were brought against her in 2022. In July 2025, she was sentenced in absentia to seven years’ imprisonment in a third case, for “publicly disseminating knowingly false information about the use of the Russian Armed Forces” (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). Baltatarova has been living outside Russia since 2022.
