The Russian Ministry of Justice has added Chelyabinsk-based activist Boris Zolotarevsky to its register of “foreign agents.” The Ministry said the designation was based on claims that he disseminated inaccurate information about government decisions and policies, published material intended to create a negative image of the Russian army, and opposed Russia’s military action in Ukraine. Zolotarevsky is the founder of the anti-war media outlet "Chelyabinsk of the Future" and a former coordinator of Alexei Navalny’s headquarters in Chelyabinsk.
