It has become known that Anton Belyaev, former executive producer of the ANT television channel, has been forced to leave Belarus. He was convicted by the court of the Moscow District of Minsk under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code for “organising or participating in actions that seriously disrupt public order”. In May 2023, Belyaev was summoned for a so-called “preliminary discussion" and on 4 August 2023 he was sentenced to three years of home-based “khimiya” (a form of restricted freedom). He had served almost the entire term before leaving the country.
