On 23 October, during a series of conflicts that broke out on the grounds of the Hovhannavank Church complex, located in the village of Ohanavan in Armenia’s Aragatsotn Province, journalists were also affected. In particular, one of the parishioners attacked Radio Liberty correspondent Susan Badalyan, abruptly grabbing her microphone and trying to snatch it from her hands. Meanwhile, other local residents hindered the work of the outlet’s cameraman, Garik Azibekyan, pushing him out of the church.
