On 9 October, the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Arsen Torosyan, described the newspaper Zhoghovurd on his Facebook page as the “queen of lies,” calling its publications shameless and inept falsehoods. He was referring to reports published in the outlet alleging that Torosyan, known by the moniker “the Minister of Death,” had misappropriated state budget funds under the guise of combating the COVID-19 pandemic during his tenure as Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia. The following day, Arsen Torosyan continued posting his sarcastic comments about the newspaper on Facebook, clearly intending to discredit it.
