The Partizansky District Court of Minsk has recognised the Viber channel “Zerkalo News” as extremist information material. This account belongs to the largest independent Belarusian media outlet, Zerkalo. On the basis of the court ruling, the Ministry of Information of Belarus has added the online resource to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and possession of materials deemed extremist carry administrative liability for both publishers and users.
