On 29 September, the President of the National Medical Chamber, Narek Vanesyan, filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against LLC Zhoghovurd Newspaper Editorial Office in connection with an article published on 2 September on the company’s website Armlur.am, titled “Candidates from the ruling party to compete against each other, opposition member to withdraw: new scandal.” The claimant is seeking a retraction of false information and compensation for defamation in the amount of 500,000 drams (over $1,300). The case is currently under consideration.
