A German TV presenter was detained at the Georgian border for six hours on arrival and was compelled to pay a fine of GEL 5,000 (£1,900) for “artificially blocking the road” on Rustaveli before being permitted to enter the country. He had previously visited Georgia and had covered anti-government protests for his television channel.
