The Moscow branch of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against journalist Ksenia Luchenko, accusing her of spreading “false information” about the Russian army (Article 207.3, Part 2 of the Criminal Code). According to the Committee’s statement, the charges stem from Luchenko’s publications “on the website of an undesirable organisation and in a messenger app” regarding the actions of Russian forces “on the territory of another state.” Investigators plan to request her arrest in absentia. In May 2025, the Ministry of Justice also designated Luchenko a “foreign agent.”
