On August 27, during a dispute on Facebook between journalist and Yerevan Press Club expert Hakob Karapetyan and the acting head of the Yerevan Municipality’s Public Order Service, Avetik Babayan, the latter responded to Karapetyan’s criticism of municipal employees over the unlawful fining of a public transport passenger with obscene language and threats. The journalist called the official to speak with him directly, but was met with the same behavior—profanity and threats.
