Russia’s Justice Ministry has designated the German journalists’ network n-ost as an “undesirable organization.” Founded in Berlin in 2006, n-ost unites more than 500 reporters focused on Eastern Europe. The group has condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and pledged to work only with Russian media that reject the war and operate without state funding. N-ost collaborates with numerous Ukrainian outlets and supports war reporting, including by organizing cross-border trainings on covering occupied territories.
