Former Rubtsovsk police precinct chief Karen Kocharyan filed a defamation suit against blogger Olesya Dikareva, seeking 1 million rubles in damages, but the court ruled against him. The lawsuit stemmed from Dikareva’s April 2024 posts accusing local officer Turan Huseynzade of illegally selling cars, driving without license plates, and using police flashers on his private vehicle, as well as publishing an anonymous claim that Huseynzade fabricated crimes for statistics by paying homeless people to gather cannabis. The account also alleged that Kocharyan ignored these practices. Kocharyan maintained that Dikareva had falsely implicated him in corruption.
