The FSB Directorate for the Kursk Region has launched a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code for illegal border crossing against SOTA journalists Pyotr Ivanov and Ruslan Terekhov. Ivanov’s parents were summoned for questioning. The case stems from the journalists’ trip in August 2024 to Sudzha in the Kursk region, which was then under Ukrainian military control. Another SOTA journalist, whose identity has not been disclosed, also participated in the trip. In total, Russia has opened criminal cases against at least 15 foreign journalists for their reporting from the Kursk region.
