The Moscow Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against journalist Yuri Dud for failing to comply with the duties of a so-called “foreign agent” (Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code). The case was initiated at the request of the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office. According to the authorities, the journalist had twice been held administratively liable within a year for publishing material without the required “foreign agent” label. Despite this, Dud allegedly continued to post content without indicating his status. Dud was added to the register of “foreign agents” in April 2022.
