The decision to revoke the media registration of Caucasian Knot was upheld on appeal. In December 2024, a court annulled the publication’s registration certificate following a lawsuit by Roskomnadzor. The agency claimed that the Caucasian Knot website had not been updated for a year. This is not true, new content is published on the website daily. However, because the website is blocked in Russia, officials do not have access to the latest news and publications.
