The Kirovsky District Court of Tomsk has fined Viktor Muchnik, editor-in-chief of Govorit NeMoskva, 30,000 rubles for allegedly violating regulations related to the activities of so-called "foreign agents" (Article 19.34 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offences). According to the court, Muchnik was required to independently notify the Ministry of Justice about the outlet’s cooperation with individuals or organizations labeled as “foreign agents.” The charges specifically cited links to content from Meduza and Radio Liberty, as well as collaboration with journalist Farida Kurbangaleeva, who is designated as a foreign agent in a personal capacity. In addition, two more administrative cases have been filed against Muchnik in the same court, one for failing to label his posts accordingly, and another for alleged involvement with an “undesirable” organisation (Part 5 of Article 19.34 and Article 20.33 of the Code).
