On June 12, Aram Navasardyan, head of LLC "MPG," filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against opposition politician Hrant Bagratyan and the public organization "Hayeli Club," demanding a retraction of statements damaging to his honor and dignity, compensation of 1 million drams (over $2,500) from Hrant Bagratyan for defamation, and reimbursement of court fees from both defendants. The lawsuit was prompted by a video published on May 12 on the YouTube channel of the news site "Hayeli.am," which is owned by the mentioned organization. The video, titled “Nikol stole 60 billion in 7 years through the ‘shadow’,” claimed that “Aram Navasardyan is being sponsored by the authorities or is receiving money from someone and is publishing figures…” (referring to the results of public opinion polls – Ed.). The case is currently under review.
