Journalist Ksenia Chyndarava from the online outlet Shtodzien was evacuated from Belarus with the help of the BYSOL Foundation. In recent months, both the police and the KGB had shown heightened interest in her activities. Despite taking precautions to maintain secrecy, Chyndarava underwent several interrogations. During the most recent one, she was threatened with up to seven years in prison for allegedly aiding extremist activities—Shtodzien was designated an "extremist formation" by the Belarusian KGB in May 2023.
