On May 16, LLC "GBT Holdings" filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against LLC "Zhoghovurd Newspaper Editorial Office," demanding a retraction and an apology for defamation, as well as financial compensation in the amount of 6 million drams (over $15,000). The basis for the lawsuit was a piece published on April 16 in the Zhoghovurd newspaper and on its affiliated website Armlur.am, which claimed that "GBT" had obtained the rights to reconstruct a section of the capital's landmark — the Cascade complex — through a corrupt scheme. The case is currently under review.
