On May 16, the owner of LLC "GBT Holdings," Grigor Ter-Ghazaryan, filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against LLC "Zhoghovurd Newspaper Editorial Office," demanding a retraction and an apology for defamation, as well as financial compensation in the amount of 6 million drams (over $15,000). The basis for the lawsuit was a piece published on April 16 in the Zhoghovurd newspaper and on its affiliated website Armlur.am, which alleged that Grigor Ter-Ghazaryan was using his connections with authorities to win construction tenders through corrupt means. The case is currently under review.
