A case has been opened against Vadim Shtepa, editor of the website Region.Expert and columnist for Radio Liberty, under Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code (organisation of a terrorist community). In 2015, Shtepa left Russia after receiving threats from the head of Karelia. In 2024, he was fined for participating via video link in the “Forum of Free Peoples of Post-Russia,” which was later recognised as a “terrorist organisation.”
