The Russian Ministry of Justice has added Glasnaya, a publication focused on women’s stories, social journalism, and the promotion of gender equality, to its register of “foreign agents.” The project has been operating since 2019. Alongside the usual accusations of spreading “fakes” about Russian politics and criticising the invasion of Ukraine, the publication has also been charged with disseminating content from “undesirable” organisations and promoting “LGBT propaganda.”
