The Russian Ministry of Justice has added journalist Vasily Gatov, an expert at the Free Russia Foundation, to its register of “foreign agents.” The Ministry of Justice said that Gatov “spread fake news aimed at creating a negative image of the Russian military and participated in the dissemination of content by foreign agents.” He also spoke out against the invasion of Ukraine and “cooperates with an organisation included in the register of foreign agents.”
