Journalist Alexander Plyushchev has been charged under Article 20.33 of the Russian Administrative Code, which concerns participation in the activities of an “undesirable organisation”. The case has been submitted to the Babushkinsky District Court in Moscow. The grounds for the charge have not been disclosed. Later, the court declined to consider the case and returned it to the Prosecutor’s office. In its decision to refuse the case, the court noted that Plyushchev had not been sent a copy of the order initiating the administrative proceedings.
