The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has declared the Norwegian non-governmental organisation The Independent Barents Observer AS undesirable in Russia. TIBO AS is the owner and publisher of the online publication The Barents Observer. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, “a significant part of the published materials has a pronounced anti-Russian bias.” The publication's website has been blocked in Russia since 2019.
