The Russian Ministry of Justice has added BBC Russian Service journalist Ilya Abishev to its list of “foreign agents.” According to the Ministry of Justice, he “disseminated inaccurate information about decisions made by public authorities of the Russian Federation and their policies, as well as inaccurate information aimed at creating a negative image of the Armed Forces and law enforcement officers of the Russian Federation.” The ministry also said in a press release that Abishev “opposed the special military operation in Ukraine” and that he “cooperates with foreign media.”
