The Tambov District Court arrested journalist and Memorial activist Sergei Stepanov in absentia. He has been placed on an international wanted list. Stepanov is charged with violating the rules governing the activities of foreign agents (part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code). He was added to the register of “foreign agents” in February 2024.
