The Federal Security Service has added the regional outlet Komi Daily to its register of "terrorist organisations", marking the first time a media outlet has been classified as “terrorist.” According to the register, Komi Daily is considered a structural division of the “Forum of Free States of Post-Russia,” which the Supreme Court designated as a terrorist organisation in November 2024. Komi Daily has denied any connection to this group. The publication’s website has been blocked in Russia since March 2024.
