On March 12, the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, filed a lawsuit in the Kotayk Regional Court of General Jurisdiction against journalist Vahe Makaryan. The lawsuit demands a retraction of information published by Makaryan on February 12 on his Telegram channel regarding the personal life of the parliamentary speaker, as well as compensation in the amount of 400,000 drams (over $1,000). The case is currently under review.
