On March 30 in Gyumri, on the day of the elections for the city's Council of Elders, Vilen Gabrielyan, a member of the National Assembly of Armenia representing the ruling "Civil Contract" faction insulted Koryun Simonyan, a journalist from the "Euromedia 24" television company. Specifically, the deputy demanded that a compromising video of him not be published, used obscene language toward the journalist, and threatened him.
