20th January - The assistant to the head of the A. Khachaturyan highschool in Tashir Narine Bagdacaryan brought a lawsuit against the LLC 'Editorial Board of the Zhogovurd Newspaper' in the Lori regional court, and against Sony Grigoryan, editor of Armlur.am, a news website belonging to the aforementioned LLC. The suit demands that the site refute information which the plaintiff considers slanderous and, in the order of joint responsibility, to collect compensation from members of the editorial board and Sony Grigorian to the sum of 1 million dirhas (more than $2,500), as well as payment of court costs including the state administrative fee. The reason for the suit is a 20th of December 2024 article on Armlur, claiming that Narine Bagdasyan, according to parents who spoke with correspondents, continues to manage the school. The suit is under consideration.
