A local journalist, director of a local TV channel, arrived at one of the temples in the city to cover the events taking place there. At the priest's command, the believers who were defending the temple began to obstruct the journalist's work, attacking him and damaging his camera. As a result of this incident, Valery Vorotnyk received bruises and the camera malfunctioned and was sent for repair.
