It became known that a criminal case was instituted against journalist Dzmitry Pankavets. On June 19, employees of the Investigative Committee from Minsk came to search the flat of the journalist’s parents in the Barysau District. During the search, the investigators showed a document that the basis was a criminal case. «Under what article, I don’t know, but from the story, it is clear that the case is allegedly for connections with the „Kalinousky fighters“. I did cover this topic and wrote a lot about the fighters of the Kalinousky regiment in Ukraine», — said the journalist. In December 2021, fearing persecution for his professional activities, Dzmitry Pankavets left Belarus.
