Giorgi Liponava, the co-founder of the Formula TV, was detained by the police during a protest against rigged elections outside the Central Election Commission building. Eyewitnesses reported that Liponava was forcibly apprehended by an individual not wearing a police uniform or any identification of any kind. On November 18, he was released from the temporary detention facility. As the lawyer Lasha Tkesheladze explains, he was not taken to court, therefore, the 48-hour period of their administrative detention expired, which is why he was released.
