The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has added Aleksey Seregin, a journalist from Mari El, to the register of «foreign agents». According to the Ministry of Justice, he spread fakes about the policies of the Russian authorities, opposed the invasion of Ukraine and distributed materials of other «foreign agents». The journalist believes that one of the reasons for his inclusion in the register was his publications about the trial of activist Yury Blagodarov. On October 25, Seryogin was detained as a result of a police provocation.
