The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has sentenced Ukrainian TV presenter Yanina Sokolova in absentia to eight years in prison. The journalist was tried under the article on incitement of interethnic hatred, and there were two episodes in the case (Paragraph A of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
