The Federal Security Service has opened a criminal case against Kurt Pelda, a journalist of the Swiss publishing holding CH Media, for reporting from the Sudzha District of the Kursk Region, occupied by Ukrainian troops. The journalist is accused of illegal border crossing by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (Part 3 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Since August 17, 2024, cases against 14 foreign journalists have been opened under this article.
