Ukrainian 27-years-old journalist Victoria Roshchyna, who was captured by Russian occupiers in the summer of 2023, has died in pre-trial detention centre in Taganrog, where she spent the last five months. The centre is known as a torture prison for Ukrainians. A Russian Defence Ministry document obtained by Roshchyna's father does not disclose the reasons and circumstances of the journalist's death. As of the end of October, the Russian authorities had not handed over the body to the Ukrainian side.
