The former Deputy Director General of the State TV and Radio Broadcasting Corporation has been placed in custody for the duration of the investigation until October 4, 2024. The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek reported that according to the petition of the investigator of the State Committee for National Security, Adyl Akzhol uulu is charged under the article of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic «сalls for active disobedience to the lawful demands of representatives of the authorities and mass riots, as well as calls for violence against citizens». No other details have been released. Akzhol’s YouTube channel, where he analyses current events, has almost 800,000 subscribers.
