The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek extended the detention of former deputy director of the National TV and Radio Broadcasting Corporation and blogger Adyl Akzhol uulu until November 4. Adyl Akzhol uulu was detained on August 4 at the request of the investigator of the State Committee for National Security and charged under the article of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic «сalls for active disobedience to the lawful demands of representatives of the authorities and mass riots, as well as calls for violence against citizens». The basis for the criminal case was a group in WhatsApp, which was created by people unfamiliar with the blogger after they published a video about the death of a 25-year-old girl, which sparked discussions on social networks, where the problem of domestic violence was again raised. Akzhol uulu posted an interview with the dead woman’s father-in-law on his YouTube channel.
